If you’re a football fan mad at the super league stuff, here’s a thread on why you should look at becoming an NBA fan

The NBA has a salary cap, meaning all 30 teams have the same amount of money to spend on their teams, and a rich owner can’t come along and buy the best squad to win trophies with

The NBA has a draft system in which (usually) the worst teams get higher picks of the new players who are entering the league

That means if your team is terrible now, there’s a good chance it won’t be in the future

The NBA has trades rather than transfers, meaning if you want to acquire a player, you (theoretically) have to give up players or draft picks of an equal value in return

The business side of the game is fascinating, and takes more skill than just being a billionaire

There are multiple NBA games on every night of the week, meaning you don’t have to wait until weekends (or champs league nights) to see your team play

There is far less racism

I find it crazy that football authorities are willing to BAN players for playing in the superleague but only give small small fines for racism

NBA off-court merch is so much wavier than walking around in football merch looking like a wannabe assistant coach

Also wearing Jordan’s is a flex, wearing AstroTurf’s on road when your an adult is just strange

If you’re a fan of the NBA, I provide you with amazing content, if you’re a football fan you just have to listen to angry old dons cussing Paul Pogba for his trim

Basketball as a sport is so exciting, non stop end to end action, so many highlights in each game.. literally every night something mad happens.. last night we had a buzzer beater to win the game, some crazy dunks, and much more

The playoffs and finals are 7 games series’ rather than a one-off game or a two game home-away fixture

You get to watch more of your favourite teams and the tactical chess match between coaches

Tickets are more affordable

As a Chelsea fan I don’t know the last time I could find a ticket for anything less than like £200

As a Boston Celtics fan I’ve bought tickets for like $18
