A thread speculating Macarena Achaga’s role as Michelle Salas in season 2 of Luis Miguel: La Serie on Netflix

In season 1, Luismi slept with a character called Sophie. A few episodes later, it was revealed that Sophie had given birth to a baby girl named Michelle. Luismi did not accept his paternity and refused to see his daughter, despite his girlfriend Erika encouraging him to do so.

Season 2 will feature two different timelines, one from the mid 1990s (where Michelle as a child will be portrayed by the child actress Valery Sais) and the second timeline from the mid to late 2000s (where Michelle in her late teens will be portrayed by Macarena Achaga)

In the first timeline, I imagine we’ll get a glimpse into Michelle’s childhood with her mother, growing up with Luismi as an absent father where, continuing the themes from season 1, he constantly refuses to accept Michelle as his daughter.

As seen in the trailer for season 2, Luismi’s manager will ask about his daughter. Contrary to what the trailer has us believe, I think this scene will happen in the first timeline and not in the second timeline, but I could be wrong.

A central plotline of season 2 will be the mystery surrounding the disappearance of Luismi’s mother, and I’m theorising that it’s something to do with this storyline that explains why Luismi’s daughter comes into the picture again.

But then something will come in between them (I have no idea what ) and we won’t see Michelle again until the second timeline, set in the 2000s, when they reconnect and Michelle asks her father – why haven’t you seen me in 11 years?

I have two theories to explain why Luis Miguel decides to reconnect with his daughter after 11 years apart…

My first theory is that Luis Miguel becomes haunted by health issues that prevent him for singing for a year (as hinted at in the trailer) and he is forced to confront his family and personal issues, such as his relationship with his daughter.

My second theory is that the events of the series will mirror real life events, where a teenage Michelle spoke out about her absent father in an interview with Quien? magazine in 2005 where she revealed her father knew she existed but refused to see her.

In real life, after Michelle gave this interview, Luismi was encouraged to reach out to his daughter by his then girlfriend.

In the show, this character is assumed to be Azucena. Macarena and the actress playing Azucena (Teresa Ruiz) took photos outside a trailer together...

This suggests the characters of Michelle and Azucena filmed scenes together, but it will be interesting to see whether these scenes take place before or after Luis Miguel’s reunion with his daughter in the back of the car that we saw in the season 2 trailer.

Following that conversation, Luismi will take a DNA test and finally accept his paternity.

Reunited with her father, Michelle will meet the people he is close to, including Azucena and his manager and friend Mauricio Ambrosi (played by Fernando Guallar).

Now things get interesting because Michelle will develop a relationship with Mauricio...

From media interviews I can only assume that Macarena and Fernando’s characters will share a lot of screen time together and we saw a snippet of this in the trailer.

This is where the show will dive into aspects of Michelle’s personal life and give audiences a glimpse into a relationship that very little is known about.

And I am so intrigued to find out how the plot and Maca will interpret Michelle during these events...

Will Michelle be portrayed as a vulnerable young girl seeking guidance and finding it in the best friend and manager of her absent father?

Or will Michelle be a confident young women who knows what she wants and how to get it?

One thing is certain, and that is how whatever connection that had been made by Michelle and her reunion with her father will be put to the test when Luismi finds out his daughter is dating his manager and best friend.

And so, to conclude, my theory is that Luis Miguel season 2 will end up leaving us right back where we started, with Luismi having a fractured relationship with his daughter Michelle.
