i want to give encouragement to whoever has the desire to pray in tongues, i suggest pursuing it by asking God for the gift. there’s a difference between speaking in tongues and praying in tongues. praying in tongues is something that all believers can do
for self edification. while not everyone has the gift to speak in tongues PUBICLY, i believe every person who believes in Christ can have their own prayer language that they speak to the Father with.
i’ve had the desire to speak in tongues since i found out about the gift. i believe that if you desire any spiritual gift of the Holy Spirit that should you ask God for it and pursue it.
the biggest thing when it comes to the spiritual gifts is to step out in faith. you’ll never know if you have the gift unless you test it out.
i can’t even begin to explain how different praying in tongues is as to praying normally. yesterday i could truly feel myself worshipping Jesus and that the Holy Spirit was able to release all of the burdens and desires in my heart.
sometimes i feel that i babble too much during normal prayer, i don’t know what to pray most of the time & when i do, i usually tend to just think about my own personal wants.
i just wanted to share my experience so far. i credit David Diga Hernandez and some online resources for informing on praying in tongues.
