Whitley Strieber, whatever your opinion of his encounters or his work, I wonder how many have heard this element of his story.
A thread.
In 1986, Strieber had an 'abduction' experience which formed the basis of his 1987 book Communion. There followed a movie a few years later starring Christopher Walken.
I'm ashamed to say I saw the film but never read the book until recently. Many interesting things are presented here. Many of which are current in some of the modern UFO and abduction narrative. Here is what's interesting. Ishtar.
Much emphasis was made on the grey type aliens in the movie. The book goes into something much deeper in scope.
"Do my memories come from my own life, or from other lives lived long ago, in the shadowy temples where the gray goddess reigned?"
As Strieber started to uncover his repressed memories he started to remember other events in his life. One of the beings, the one he likened to Ishtar had always seemed to be the 'constant'. And he was drawn to her.
Communion takes it all further. The Kali Yantra or Primordial Image. "This ancient symbol, a triangle with the bindu, or spark of life, at the center, is associated with the Triple Goddess..."
Strieber mulls over the concept that "we all started from the womb of a single woman". Was that singular woman "Ishtar gliding across in an enormous triangular spacecraft"?
The abduction that happened out in Striebers woodland cabin occurred on the night of the 20th - 21st March 1986. This is the Vernal Equinox. Some of you may be seeing a pattern here.
I came across an excellent piece online from 2007 by Dreams End. This piece looks at the Strieber encounters in superb depth & focuses on the history of Strieber as a boy and what he may have been part of due to his dad's unwitting involvement with Project Paperclip.
In 1997 Strieber published 'The Secret School'. It focused on certain experiences he had as a child where he felt he was being prepared for some form of extraterrestrial contact. These experiences could have been physical, astral or a combination of the two.
As the years have gone by Strieber has at times been candid about possible MKUltra experiments that may have happened to him as a child and potentially still are. He goes onto link this to a group connected to The Finders. That's a story for another day.
Anyway, back to Striebers childhood. He remembers abuse at Randolph Air Force Base, Texas as a child. He became sick as a part of whatever was happening to him at the Brooke Medical Center in Houston. Which has some very interesting iconography.
He began to recall memories of being a teenager (originally he thought younger) and the use of a Skinner Box on him, . This would have been in 1962....he would have been 19 years old or so, but his memories repressed and mixed for decades.
The knowledge of repressed conditioning mixed with the later Ishtar related experiences fascinates me. The Vernal Equinox. The Goddess. Triangles. The intelligence community. Black magic.

I then came across this fantastic piece. '10,000 heroes. SRI and the Manufacturing of the New Age.' And from there we go onto a guide on how to start crafting our best possible existence based on societal and theological models. http://web.archive.org/web/20070324152205/http://dreamsend.wordpress.com/2007/03/19/10000-heroes-sri-and-the-manufacturing-of-the-new-age-part-one/#more-90
And now I'll finish this wild ride on another common theme .... Sirius. Because Siriusly.
