Daunte Write was a 20 year old African-American father that was fatally shot on Sunday by a police officer in the Minneapolis suburb of Brooklyn Center. He had a 2 year-old son that would now not be able to play basketball with him.

He was pulled over for expired plates and an air freshener can in the front of the car. He was shot by Kim Potter, a former police officer that had been working in the field for 26 years.
Supposedly, Potter was meant to tase Write but instead shot him. Potter tried stating it was an accident, but footage shows she held the gun for around 5 seconds before pulling the trigger, shooting and killing Daunte Write, taking him from his family.
Potter, having been in the field for 26 YEARS, should be able to tell the difference in weight, color, size and feel of a taser and a gun. Most police tasers are bright yellow, with a shorter handle and lighter in weight while a gun has a long handle, it’s black and heavier in +
Weight. If Potter couldn’t tell the difference between them, why was she a police officer for so long in the first place.
