just checking in to remind y’all that white people cannot experience racism because racism requires systemic oppression and there is no system in the world that oppresses people for being white.

you can absolutely be white and experience oppression for something else, but you are not oppressed for your whiteness. i’m hoping that maybe the white people throwing a fit about this here on twitter dot com will maybe be willing to hear this from me, a white people.

i’m only posting about this because my hope is that white people will be more willing to hear this from me, another white people, because the people i’m talking about clearly aren’t willing to hear it from the BIPOC who are talking about this topic.

if you’re white and this thread made you feel uncomfortable or upset, i don’t give a rat’s ass. your comfort is not more important than the fight against racism.
