Sangallo (1445 – 1516) copied Cyriacus drawing, His illustrations based on his imagination the metopes we can recognize on his illustration the 6the south Metope. The Lapith's head is in Acropolis museum and the main plate is in the British museum

Frieze theme: Panathenean procession. The Parthenon’s east frieze block II depicts girls who carry vessels for pouring ritual libation, Carrey’s drawings are used to identify survival sculptures’ position. Its sculptures are scattered in the Acropolis and British museums

Metopes south theme: the Centauromachy. The IV south metope: a Centaur is about to strike a Lapith with a water pot.
Captain Moritz Hartmann took the two heads to Denmark (Copenhagen Museum). Later on, Elgin Thomas Bruce took the main plate to UK (British Museum)

Iris from the Parthenon’s east pediment
Carrey’s drawings are created prior the Elgin’s action. Parthenon was bombarded in 1687. The Secretary of Morosini took Iris’ head (displayed in the Louvre museum). Elgin took her body (displayed in the British Museum)

Dionysos from the east pediment of the Parthenon monument
East pediment depicts the birth of the goddess Athena from the head of her father Zeus. Dionysus is the only sculpture from the pediments with its head intact. Now it is displayed in the British museum

The west pediment of the Parthenon portrays the dispute between Athena and Poseidon regarding who would become the divine protector of Athens.
Kekrops and his daughter Pandrosos sculpture they kneel on the ground. Displayed in the Acropolis museum

The Temple of Bel: ancient temple in Palmyra, Syria. It was considered among the best-preserved sites at Palmyra until ISIS further destroyed it in 2015. The arched main entrance into the temple is still intact.

The loss of cultural heritage continues to be a dramatic situation, the destruction of cultural heritage cannot be depicted in a drawing or photo. It is a way to show the dramatic results, hopefully, we will manage to protect it in the future.
