Taeyong interacting with strangers; a thread to showcase how our 'room corner insider' is actually very charismatic and sociable when he wants to be

So we all know Taeyong likes to stay in his room and play games for hours on end. But when he's working, or just out and about, he's actually very sociable, friendly, and great at talking to new people.

When he was on the hello82 set he was constantly smiling and cracking little jokes to make the dancers feel at ease, and when he thanked them for participating he remembered where each of them had come from and acknowledged them individually.

PD's consistently compliment him for his professionalism and lovely attitude on set, demonstrating how he always leaves a great impression on new people he works with.

Here Taeyong approached the interviewer first to ask him how he is, initiating a conversation in English even though English isn't his first language. That takes guts.

That isn't the only time Taeyong held conversations with strangers in English either. When they were touring the states he was often the one talking to shop workers, waiters etc., even when one of the English speakers was there. Just goes to show how he naturally takes the lead.

This "natural" instinct for leadership is often mentioned by interviewers and people who work with him. Evidently he's very charismatic and confident in social situations that might otherwise be uncomfortable or nerve-wracking for his members.

Even before Taeyong was officially made the leader he give off a "leader" vibe, prompting staff to ask if he's the leader.

When asked he was easily able to make an impromptu speech in front of a room full of people. He didn't look nervous at all, and as usual he managed to be both clear and eloquent

During Mtopia Taeyong initiated the applause for their indoor surfing instructor and comfortably began conversation. The guy probably hadn't been on camera much before so I'm sure Taeyong's question put him at ease and saved him having to awkwardly thank them for the applause

When not working, I find it sweet how eager Taeyong is to meet new people and talk to them. There are so many stories of him chatting to random sales people, such as the blanket auntie

Taeyong clearly left a great impression on the said blanket auntie too, prompting the sore to donate a portion of their profits to an animal shelter because they found out Taeyong loves animals

Taeyong shared a tmi in a fansign of the time he went to the beach with Johnny and Doyoung. They ate seafood and Taeyong said he chatted with the auntie who was cooking the food for a long time.

And finally the infamous story of Taeyong and the graffiti artist. I love the fact that Taeyong is so comfortable striking up a conversation with a stranger, it shows how confident he is!

Talking about it again: “When I went to Spain for a music award, in the catering area there was a graffiti artist painting. We talked I got interested in it. I’ve been recommended a lot of art tools. Since then, I started painting.”

There are so many other examples (talking to idols at award shows, making friends with producers etc) but this is long enough already! Pretty much I just wanted to point out how Taeyong can be a little social butterfly when he wants to be, and is very confident and charismatic
