General intelligence acts as a bottleneck, placing limits on a person's verbal/nonverbal IQ. On a 1-10 scale if a person's g is 1, his subtest scores will be very close to 1, but the higher his g the greater the differences. The implication is some people are hidden V/NV geniuses
A comparison would be to imagine someone with greet speed and coordination who never. makes it as a basketball player because of short height. What would a hidden non-verbal IQ genius look like? My guess: skill with drawing, handwriting, working with hands
I would imagine someone with potentially high but surprised verbal IQ would be considered funny, quick witted, and fond of debate and politics, if they didn't know all that many specific facts about the world.
