Katsuki never knew what true love was until he met Deku, his 15 year old neighbor.

Deku, real name Izuku Midoriya, and his mother moved into the
apartment next to him two months ago.

Due to his busy work schedule, Katsuki didn't officially get to greet his neighbors until a week after they moved in.

His old hag of a mother scolded him when he mentioned this over the phone
and so he reluctantly baked them a cake.

Sweet Deku was the one to answer the door.

Katsuki was blown away by his beauty. Large emerald green eyes stared shyly up at him. Plush pink lips formed a sweet smile and a spattering of freckles adorned his
chubby cheeks. He radiated innocence and sunshine.

Katsuki's once dull and dreary world was brightened in that very instance.

"Hi! Can I help you?"

Fuck! He even had the voice of an angel!
Realizing that this sweet boy had spoken to him, Katsuki cleared his throat, holding out the cake to him.

"I, uh, wanted to welcome you guys to the apartment. I apologize for not doing it sooner. My name's Katsuki Bakugo. I live next door to you in 5-D."
The teen seemed to brighten more at the proffered gift, happily taking it from Katsuki.

"Thank you so much, Bakugo-san! This looks amazing! A-ah, my apologies! I forgot to introduce myself! I'm Izuku Midoriya! Nice to meet you!" Deku flushed prettily.
Fuck, Katsuki was in trouble.

"Izuku, sweetie, who's at the door?"

A plump, shorter version of Deku appeared at his side, though she didn't radiate the same brightness that her son did.

"Oh, Mom, this is Bakugo-san from next door! He made us a cake!"
His mother smiled up at Katsuki. "How very generous of you, Bakugo-san. I'm Inko Midoriya, Izuku's mother."

"It's a pleasure to meet you both."
(Ohohoho I'm super excited about this one! 😍)
Since that first interaction, Katsuki hasn't been able to get Deku off of his mind.

He didn't want to leave his side, wanted to stay forever in that bright world where this sweet boy resided.
In all his 26 years of life, Katsuki has never felt this strongly about anyone. Not his parents, not the shitty extras he calls friends, not any lover he's ever had.

None of them compare to the love he feels for Deku.

He finally feels...alive.
Katsuki decides then and there that he will do WHATEVER it takes to become an integral part of Deku's life.

And so, he inserts himself into their lives.

It was almost painfully easy. They're both trusting individuals.
Being a single parent, Inko worked long hours to provide for her son but worried about him being alone so often.

Katsuki learned that Deku didn't have many friends in school and was often left to his own devices at home.
Inko fretted about this constantly, fearful that her sweet baby boy would get himself caught up in some kind of trouble. As innocent and naĂŻve as her son was, Inko feared he would be a target for some nefarious fiend.
If only she knew the trouble she, herself, was inviting into her son's life.
The minute she mentioned her worries to Katsuki, he jumped at the opportunity to spend more time with Deku, work schedule be damned.

"I'll watch the shitty brat for you, Auntie," he declared.

Inko snapped her head up from staring down at
coffee mug she was cradling in her hands.

It was becoming a daily occurrence for Katsuki to drop by every morning after Deku left for school to have a cup of coffee with the single mother. Gave him a way to learn more about the small family.
"O-oh, Katsuki-kun, I-I couldn't ask that of you! You're already so busy with your writing! No, no, I couldn't do that! I'm sure Izuku will be fine!"

She said that and yet Katsuki could see that she wanted to agree to his offer.
Grunting, Katsuki waved a hand dismissively at nothing. "I can work here just fine. It's not like Deku is a baby. I can easily do my work while keeping an eye on him."
"Well," Inko started, chewing on her bottom lip for a second. "I suppose that's true."

Katsuki brought his mug up to his lips to hide a smirk as he watched Inko's resolve break.
And just like that, Katsuki was granted exclusive access to Deku.

Deku was a giant nerd.

His room was decorated wall to wall with posters of the popular superhero All Might. Shelves were lined with All Might action figures, All Might comic books, various All Might knick-knacks.
It was silly and childish and made him all the more appealing to Katsuki.

Untainted by the ugliness of the world, Deku was the epitome of purity.
Deku sheepishly runs a hand through his unruly hair, shyly glancing over at Katsuki.

"I-I know it's p-pretty childish to still hold onto All Might merchandise but I just can't bring myself to get rid of it," he muttered, suddenly feeling embarrassed.
Would Katsuki think he was nothing but a loser like his classmates did? Would he make fun of him? Would he call him a useless 'Deku' like his bullies?

The anxiety churned in his stomach as he waited for Katsuki to respond.
Katsuki stepped further into the room, taking in a subtle breath of the boy he's grown to love so much. He glances back, lips curling upwards into a genuine smile.

"Truth be told...I have some All Might merch, too."
(Okay gotta stop there for now but I'll try and write some more in a bit!)
Deku's eyes widened, his expression brightening with surprise and joy.

Seeing him looking so happy made Katsuki's heart squeeze in his chest. Fuck, how was he this adorable?!
He glanced around the room to avoid getting lost in Deku's eyes, shrugging his shoulders nonchalantly. "I didn't have as much shit as you do but I collected a few of the comics and an action figure."
"That's amazing, Kacchan!" Deku gushed, pumping his fists excitedly. "Do you still have them?"

'Kacchan.'

Katsuki suppresses a pleased groan, not wanting to frighten or creep out the teen.
It was such a childish nickname and if he had been called it by anyone else he would have ripped them a new asshole. But to hear Deku say it in his sweet voice makes his heart skip a beat.
"Maybe. I'd have to sort through some shit but I'm sure I still have them," Katsuki responded, walking out of Deku's room.

He couldn't stay in there any longer. If he did...he was afraid he wouldn't be able to hold himself back anymore.
Deku wasn't ready to accept his love. Not yet. He had to be patient.

Just a little longer.

"Kacchan, do you have any tips on how to woo a girl?"
(not a big update but this is where I originally wanted to stop! enjoy the cliffhanger 👀)
Ice cold anger sweeps through Katsuki.

A month has passed since Katsuki started coming around to keep Deku company and while he wanted more, he couldn't have been happier.

All that happiness is gone now.
Expression betraying none of the hate and anger he feels, Katsuki turns to face Deku, the boy currently lounging on the couch. His cheeks are flushed so prettily and normally the sight would make Katsuki's heart skip a beat.
Right now, it makes him blood thirsty.

Closing his laptop, he set it down on the coffee table in front of him, taking his reading glasses off and putting them down on top of it.

"Why do you ask, Deku?" He's got to be calm...he has to be.
Sweet Deku doesn't look up from where his gaze is fixated on his hands settled on his lap. The boy fidgets, chewing on his bottom lip before finally speaking.

"W-Well, t-there's this girl in my class that I-I've liked for a while now...I'm not really popular
s-so I never thought I stood a chance with her...but then we were assigned a project together a week ago and we've really hit it off!" A smile begins to form on his face. "I...I really like her, Kacchan. I want to ask her out but I-I don't know how to go about it."
Deku finally looks up from his lap, fixing Katsuki with a determined stare. "Kacchan, y-you're a handsome guy...you've probably had a lot of dates! C-Can you teach me how to woo her? Please?"
Against his wishes, his heart skips a beat.

Deku thinks he's handsome?

He's heard it many times from the many lovers he's brought to his bed but never once has it ever meant anything to him.
To know that his Deku thinks he's handsome...fuck, he wants to kiss him so badly!

But first...he has a problem to deal with.
Snorting, Katsuki sits back in his chair, lips twisted in a smirk.

"So little Deku has a crush on someone, huh? You so much of a nerd that you don't know how to talk to girls, De-ku?" he taunts, laughing when Deku flusters.
"I-It's not-! I-I just...h-haven't had much experience talking to girls," Deku mutters, hunkering in on himself.

He clicks his tongue in mock annoyance, closing his eyes and willing himself to keep calm.
"Fucking dweeb. Guess I ain't got no choice than to help your sorry ass. First things first though," he replies, opening his eyes after second to stare at Deku blankly. "What's her name?"
"...Yoriko Nakamura."

That catches Katsuki's attention. "Nakamura? She related to Kenji Nakamura."
Deku nods, green and black curls bouncing from the movement. "That's right! That's her dad! Do you know him, Kacchan?"

Kenji Nakamura...now there was a name he hadn't heard in a while. Once his dad's former business partner, Kenji was a man known for his outlandish,
though popular, clothing line.

Through his father, whom he was working for part-time at the time when he was 17, Katsuki and Kenji began a friendship that developed into one with benefits. Kenji was stuck in an arranged marriage despite his sexuality and Katsuki had a lot of
pent-up lust that needed an outlet.

Kenji provided that.

But Kenji started acting possessive of Katsuki's time. And while he was a decent fuck, he wasn't who Katsuki wanted to spend his life with. He was too bitter, too old, too full of resentment.
He didn't want someone like that.

So he broke it off. Never said a word to the man after that.

Not long after that, Kenji's and his dad's partnership fell apart and they went their separate ways.
To think he had had a daughter all this time.

This made everything easier.

"Used to work with him when I was a brat no older than you." Ignoring Deku's protest ("I'm not a brat, Kacchan!") Katsuki continued, "I'm surprised a snob like her is hanging out with a Deku like you."
"B-But she's not a snob!" Deku protested. "Nakamura-san is actually really kind and shy!"

Katsuki's jaw clenched. Hearing him defend her...it enraged him.
(also for anyone who might feel that Bakugo is acting out of character, his true self will appear in just a while! gotta keep Izuku thinking that he's a good guy 👀)
