This self-care book for kids! How To Let Yourself Rest (What They Don’t Teach You at School), but there is really a lot in here. I’m pretty excited to read it 😮 (Written by child psychiatrist Yuki Inoue)
This book of Buddhist advice for kids! It seems amazing and practical. (I highly recommend reading nonfiction for kids.) Keiko Sugawara’s illustrations give it so much personality, too 😍
Ken Nishizaki’s indoor soccer novel. The protag has just failed college entrance exams, so it’s not about a school club but e Er so slightly more adult? V curious.
Toko Shinoda’s final book. It’s her writing and a collection of quotes from interviews. There were quotes from her scattered throughout the [excellent, must-see] exhibition. I was hoping they would have 桃紅―私という ひとり but I imagine this is as good a place to start as any.
“Japanese-style fantasy” web novel that is not published as a light novel. Expectations are v high.
An absolute masterpiece 😭😭
This book gives me so much life. The boy just keeps running (all over town, through the woods, etc.) because the race is so fun he doesn’t want it to end yet 😭😭😭
