i want to talk about @ranaltboo& #39;s twitch notification messages for a minute :]

why and how his notifs can be really harmful and triggering to people with OCD: - a thread
people with ocd get lots of intrusive thoughts, they are often unrealistic, superstitious, and really unlikely to happen or rarely true, and we can& #39;t control these thoughts, and we perform some actions to help the anxiety go away
sometimes they pop out of nowhere, and sometimes something triggers them, it& #39;s hard to make them go away (they usually don& #39;t), it& #39;s hard to believe that these things we think about aren& #39;t real or won& #39;t happen
about the notifications, these types of sentences such as "do this or bad luck" "do this right now or this will happen" can be really triggering, i know it might seem like exaggerating, but i know that there are people out there who are really effected by these
lots of people already have these types of intrusive thoughts, "i should switch this button x times or this will happen" "i should do this again or my family will die" so seeing them can make those people feel bad
adding on, tone indicators might not always work for everyone in this situation, as they may not be enough to convince us that "nothing bad is going to happen" or "we won& #39;t have bad luck for the rest of our lives"
ranboo is such a cool streamer and i just want him to be aware of this!! hopefully this thread reaches him in someway, (rts and tags would be really helpful) @ranaltboo @Ranboosaysstuff
