Cohort Based Courses, limited by access might just be the next wave of education looking for disruption in all fields/skills.
A thread based on the 4th wave of Education
(1/9)
The rise of 4-6 month cohort based courses by people experts and performers (in terms of engaging students) both at the same time the likes of
@tanaypratap for Front End Web Development ( @neogcamp )
@abnux , Design ( @10kdesigners)
(2/9)
@VarunMayya , @ShashankUdupa1 , @abhinavxarora @live_meta (Game Dev, Finance, Marketing)
@VaibhavSisinty (Growth Hacking)
Who are good at what they do and extremely great at teaching the same as well will mostly be leading the 4th wave of Education. (3/9)
The especially interesting ones are the One's based around ISA or Income Sharing Agreements (the likes of @neogcamp )

Clearing the level0 of such programms and clearing the interview itself is like a proof, proof of consistency and ability to work hard (4/9)
Compare this to the usual duration of college 4 years, entry is based on one size fits all entrance exam scores which remotely don't touch the exact desired skills by recruiters, Vs 4-6 months based courses, at significantly lesser costs (virtually free in case of ISA) (5/9)
The latter is bound to win in my opinion, couple that with the ability to take in feedback and grow these cohorts faster in quality and it's a win win for everyone involved, (6/9)
Students win because they spend lesser time and learn what they want at a lower cost (or free in case of ISA) , companies win because of the high quality, focused candidate pool (hire based on Skills rather than colleges), the cohort organizers win with high quality results.(7/9)
The change is more than apparent with @Google starting their own UX, and PM courses on Coursera ( they are differently built: byte sized content followed by text on the same for better retention) which entirely changes the game opening more doors for cohorts and performers! (8/9
Ending with a thanks to the amazing folks Changing education for the good
@abnux , @tanaypratap , @VarunMayya , @abhinavxarora , @ShashankUdupa1 , @VaibhavSisinty and many other performers (because they are so good at this) (9/9)
