In short, industrial factory farming will almost undoubtedly cause the next pandemic, in addition to driving climate change, antibiotic resistance, global hunger, slaughterhouse worker endangerment, and unfathomable animal suffering. (3/7)
Alt proteins are a solution to the harms of industrial animal farming. Because plant-based & cultivated meat production do not require live animals, there is no risk of zoonotic disease, so the likelihood of meat production causing a pandemic drops from significant to 0. (4/7)
