It's important because it shows us the actual number of crimes/offenders.

Which, when compared to the actual population sizes, shows that there is no for anyone to automatically assume violence perpetrated by any race.

We are talking about 3.8 million violent crimes, in a population of 330 million people.

Even if you assume just members of just one race committed all 3.8 million violent crimes, that is still statistically too insignificant to presume violence from all members of that race.

I encourage you, next time someone shows you table 8, to please ask them about table 5.
