This whole they should just comply nonsense needs to stop. Human beings - many of whom already have reason to fear the mere presence of police even if they’re innocent - will have a fight or flight reaction to police presence and aggression.

Where I live and practice law the police routinely rough up suspects who run or try to shield themselves from officer blows. Then they charge that as resisting arrest and/or agg assault on a cop.

The bottom line is that Black people - Black men in particular - are treated as scary aggressors even when they’re not. They can’t win for losing. That’s why we need to shift the paradigm and implement sweeping reforms. Stop acting simple.
