WHY LUFFY WILL LOSE
After reading 1010, I lost my shit after seeing luffy get some hits in on Kaido. It really made me feel like there was hope for the raid but after some thinking I realised that Oda may be misleading us and will crush our dreams. Here are some of my reasons.

Colour of the supreme king:
Luffy has recently discovered a new way to use his conquerors, which has put him on a completely new level of strength. In fact, he has become so strong that he knocked kaido down. What is being overlooked is that kaido has had years to master CoC.

Luffy on the other hand just realised that he could coat himself in conquerors. Luffy has been portrayed to finally be as strong as the Yonko in this chapter, but Oda is purposely hyping him up so Kaido can beat him again, showing us Luffy still has ways to go.

Momonosuke:
So many connections have been made between Momo and Kaido in recent chapters, so a big momo and Kaido moment is to come, meaning Kaido cant go down now. Momo could go to the roof with Yamato but i don’t really see it happening. I feel like they’ll all meet later.

Will of Three:
Oda likes to do things in three’s and there are now three major arcs in which a country is taken over by pirates and Luffy has ended up in the role of the saviour: Alabasta, Dressrossa and now Wano. Luffy had 3 fights with the main villains of the first two arcs.

In Alabasta we had Luffy getting stabbed by crocodile, Water Luffy and blood Luffy. In Dressrossa we had Law and Luffy vs Doffy and Trebol, Part 2 came after Luffy punches Bellamy, then part 3 was when Luffy got his haki back and fought in gear 4th again.

Now as for Kaido vs Luffy we have only had part 1, in which luffy got one shotted. To reference Alabasta, Luffy right now is Water Luffy. Ive seen people say Water Luffy is Luffy hitting Kaido with Red Roc and damaging him for the first time.

I don’t believe this because Water Luffy was doing real damage to crocodile. It looked like he could win. The same goes for when he first used G4 vs Doffy in the second fight. When Luffy used ryo, Kaido was hurt, but it still was not a game changer. Kaido easily tanked it.

But if this isnt ‘real damage’ then what is Real damage is something weve seen in the second fights with both Doffy and Crocodile. I like to call it...
THE GUT PUNCH, BLOOD COUGH COMBO.

It sounds silly, but with Oda, these small things matter. Luffy learned how to hurt kaido with armament, yet it still seemed like a hopeless battle, kaido never seemed to struggle until luffy used CoC coating. Now it actually looks like he has a chance. This is Water Luffy

Luffy said this right before he got defeated by crocoboy and now hes saying the same thing before fighting kaido

Kabuki Play:
As we all know, Wano seems to follow the structure of a kabuki play. If this is true then it is likely for the third act to end in tragedy. Luffy losing to Kaido for a second time and the raid failing would be the greatest tragedy possible.

Plans:
Things NEVER go according to plan in one piece. The plan to stop the war in alabasta -FAILED. Tried to save Robin before she could be taken to Enies Lobby - FAILED, plan to save ace from Impel Down - FAILED. Plan to get their shadows back - FAILED wano will be the same.

Obviously the straw hats will win in the end, but the initial plan never works is my point.

Luffy the hero:
In arcs where Luffy has to take down a villain that is terrorising a town, city, country or whatever, the bad guy is always defeated infront of all the citizens. After this, luffy is usually rewarded with a feast.

If Luffy beats Kaido I’m assuming it will be in these same circumstances and for that to happen, Kaido will have to be beaten in the land of Wano. How will that happen??? Onigashima will fall.
