This could have been prevented; this should have been prevented.. #lockdown could have been prevented had the State been proactive. Everyone knew the 2nd wave was coming. Atleast I hope State Govt. has experts who had warned the leadership of what we all on ground saw coming

We all are cornered into this unfortunate decision not cause of growing infections, but due to the State Govt’s ineptness to ramp up medical infrastructure.
#Pune has had restrictions for almost two weeks and yet today we have reported our highest ever death count of 55
(2/5)
State has done absolutely nothing to control the spiralling mortality rate, nor have they managed to control the increasing infection rate.
It is clear the State hopes that this strict #lockdown brings down the infection rate & thus reduces load on current infrastructure.

Meanwhile Hon. CM @OfficeofUT ji has not outlined any plan, any specifics on how the medical infrastructure will be catch up once we re-open ( hopefully after 15 days ) other than increasing vaccinations, and asking for Central govt's intervention for oxygen and medicines.
(4/5)
I fear we are entering a vicious circle where the state will keep imposing restrictions to control infection rate, and re-opening once they fall back again without doing anything concrete to boost the medical capacity of the state...and thus keep destroying lives & businesses
