soooo much underlying campaigning in this presser (seems to me, at least). You'd think there was an Alberta election just around the corner. Makes me wonder how that recent caucus meeting went.

Premier Kenney is asked by a reporter if he has a message for Albertans regarding following health guidelines, & he answers: the variants are hitting younger people, so if you think you're immune because you're younger, that's not the case (paraphrased)

... it's all fine & good for Kenney to try to appeal to younger Albertans, to follow personal health measures, respect restrictions, but for most of last year - he was saying stuff along the lines of "it hits 80 yr-olds, & they're going to die anyway"

listened to an excellent segment on CBC's The Current, this morning. It touches on the problem with going back and forth with lighter, than heavier (though not enough) restrictions.
