Well, I certainly have no expertise here. But the folks I've seen tweeting about the decision to pause use of the Janssen vaccine seem to have overlooked this, which seems sort of relevant.

A whole lot of tweeters (most of them not social scientists) are just assuming they know how the decision will affect public attitudes towards vaccines.

I'd urge more humility. People are complicated.
