In 2019 I went to Atlanta with a resolution prepared on committing DSA to anti-imperialism. In 2021 I’ll be doing this again alongside some of the most amazing comrades I’ve ever had the honor of working with. Read more and sign on here https://forms.gle/TyVKBt6Wv6PNWjJy6
Through my time working on the IC I’ve seen tremendous amounts of growth. But there are still places where our organization can grow and really support a robust committee that connects with mass movements across the world in addition to investing in our members here in the USA.
In late 2019 I had the honor of going to London to canvass for Jeremy Corbyn. I am a poor working class community college dropout. I would’ve never imagined to have an opportunity like that. I want our members to also share these experiences through robust brigade programs.
During my time on the IC I have learned a lot about elections abroad and how DSA can help. With a robust election observer program we can begin to connect with countries and parties across the world engaging in the democratic process.
After DSA left the SI I feel there has been a void when it comes to international organizations. Applying for membership in the SĂŁo Paulo forum is the exact next step DSA needs to take in filling this void and being a full member of the left within this hemisphere.
And finally, investing in our chapters is something that has always been very important to me. Providing chapter toolkits for our members on the ground to be able to build their own local IC or anti-war working groups is something that will make our organization so much stronger.
