Of coping mechanisms of #Gyeommi in #RunOn.

It's similar to night and day or in reverse, light and darkness.

Seongyeom wanted the light. Mijoo wanted the darkness.
I believe this needs to be put into light as we are in an ongoing pandemic and everyone of us has to resort to our coping mechanisms.

You see, we all need to develop that in order to become stronger. It's our weapon against our inner demons or pain.
For Mijoo, it's theaters. She could safely cry without being judged. She can stay in a safe place and cry her heart out.
Why stay in a safe place? Life was moving too fast for her. She was busy working to feed herself and was often wrongly accused when things were put into "light".
In dark theaters, she could immerse herself in her feelings. She could just worry about her emotions, hiding from the rest of the world.

To cope, some people in this world need to slow down and hide.
For Seongyeom, it was running away. He wanted to leave everything behind.
Why run away? Staying in the same place reminded him of his injury. He wanted to move and feel alive. He didn't want to look back on his past and was always looking forward.
In running away, he could escape everything that bothered him. It's similar to him quitting the national team.

To cope, some people need to run fast and find the light aka his finish line.
Lastly, why were they "staying still" at the "finish line"?

No more hiding. No more running away.

The setting is twilight, where light meets darkness.

The crossover of day and night.
End thread. Finally, got this off. Special thanks to @Hoyaanae for the Seongyeom running pics. đź’ś
