#YomHaZikaron is the day when the people of Israel commemorate, mourn & remember the 23,928 Kedoshim, IDF soldiers and victims of terrorists who were murdered HY"D. As a siren pauses life in Israel to begin the day, I'll be commemorating one of these holy souls every 30 minutes.

On Rosh Chodesh Iyar, in 1956, 3 terrorists entered a school in Kfar Chabad and murdered a teacher and 4 students, Simcha Zilbershtrom, 24, Nisim Assis, 13; Moshe Peretz, 14; Shlomo Mizrahi, 16; and Albert Edery, 14 HY"D. Today is their anniversary of passing. #YomHaZikaron

Ari Fuld HY"D was a friend, an educator, a hero of the IDF, and a proud husband, father, and Jew. In 2018, After being stabbed in the back he managed to shoot his terrorist assailant saving countless others. His remarkable legacy lives on in the many he touched.

Ari Halberstam HY"D was a 16-year-old, from a rabbinical family with ties to the Bobov dynasty, who had an incredible relationship with the Lubavitcher Rebbe. In 1994, he was murdered in a terror attack on the entrance to the Brooklyn bridge that now bears his name.

Shalhevet Pass HY"D was an infant from Chevron, the oldest Jewish city in the world. In 2001, At 10 months, too young to walk, she was murdered by a PLO sniper terrorist. To date, Shalhevet's murderer has been rewarded with over $250,000 by Abu Mazen @PalestinePMO.

Staff Sergeant Major Hadas Malka HY"D was a 23-year-old policewoman guarding Jerusalem, the capital of Israel, and Judaism's holiest city. known as a joy-filled and loving friend, Hadas was attacked by terrorists and murdered in 2017, while running to help others.

Yoni Netanyahu HY"D, was Israel's warrior-poet, the son of Israel's preeminent historian, and a decorated hero and leader in the @IDF. (He was also the brother of Israeli PM @netanyahu.) Yoni was murdered in 1976 during the Entebbe rescue while saving 102 hostages.

Shlomo Nativ HY"D was known as a happy smiling boy, a devout Torah student, who tended caringly for his animals. On the holiday of Pesach, he was playing with his siblings and other children when he was brutally murdered by a terrorist with an ax. He was 13 yrs old.

Michael Levin HY"D was an avid sports fan & a loving son, who overcame obstacles with his tremendous spirit for the opportunity to protect the people of Israel. A lone soldier, he was killed in action in 2006 at 22 yrs old. His grave remains a shrine to his bravery.

Zipora Sasson HY"D was a devoted wife and a loving mother of two young daughters. in 1994 when Zipora was 5 months pregnant with her 3rd child, she was gunned down while driving with her family in the heart of Israel on the way home. Her father is pictured here.

Rabbi Yaakov Litman HY"D was a devoted teacher, husband, and father of 6. In 2015, at 40 years old and while traveling with his family to his eldest daughter's wedding, he was attacked by terrorists and murdered alongside his 18-year-old son Netanel Litman HY"D.

In 2014, Three Yeshiva students, Naftali Frenkel 16, Gilad Shaer 16, and Eyal Yifrah 19, were trying to get a ride home. The three boys were kidnapped, murdered, & dumped by Hamas terrorists. For two weeks, the entire country searched and prayed. Hashem Yikom Domo.

Major Roi Klein HYD, the son of two Holocaust survivors was an excellent student & athlete and a decorated Golani officer. Roi and his wife Sarah had two kids. In 2006 with Shema Yisroel on his lips, Roi lept on a grenade to save the lives of his men. He was 31.

Koby Mandell HY"D was a kind and passionate 13-year-old American Israeli boy. In 2001, together with his friend Yosef Ishran HY"D, 14, he went hiking in the heartland of Israel. Their bodies were found brutally murdered, bound, and bloodied and stoned in a cave.
