they’re fundamentally amoral—they lack any vision of a fair & cohesive social order. they’re narcissistic, nihilistic careerists without a single virtuous bone—they’re not moralists or upstanding people. as I often say, RETVRN to moralism, don’t abandon it because of the cynics.

the materialist appeal wears people down, it don’t connect them to something purposeful & greater than their own lives. real politics has a distinctive ethical and aesthetic component—what else could authentic ‘movements’ possibly constitute?
