This is the vaccine that is in my body. I am not particularly worried about this.

Why? Because I didn’t receive the vaccine thinking “Don’t be stupid: Vaccines are safe people!”

Right now we are in a dysfunctional relationship with media and public health.

Q: If this is only a tiny number of clotting events, why pause J&J vaccinations?

A: Because we *oversell* vaccines.

Vaccines are pretty amazing, but some of us use them as litmus test for goodness.

Well executed Vaccines are miracles in *relative* risk reduction. You exchange some risk in receiving vaccine for a larger reduction of risk against a disease.

Overselling vaccines takes away public agency. Then when inevitable issues crop up, Public Health credibility crumbles.

So I will stand up for J&J now. It’s in my body because I chose it. I was not fully informed to be sure. But on incomplete information, I elected to take this and stand by my decision.

I’m not vaccine skeptic. I’m 100% against Overselling/Manipulation by Public Health officials.

We need more people standing up for the miracle of vaccines as relative risk reduction.

We need no one telling people who worry about vaccine risk that they are idiots, Qanon, morons, etc for questioning vaccine risk.

I despair that this seems like a hard issue to understand.
