It& #39;s time to arbitrarily rate the flags of Canada!
Unlike the American state flags, there& #39;s a very good chance I& #39;ve never seen these flags so this will be my first impression. Low scores do not imply anything about the province itself, every province is probably awesome. I don& #39;t know, I& #39;ve never been there.
Starting with the national Canadian flag. I like how they have trademarked an entire species of tree.
10/10, solid marketing
Ontario is clearly fond of its British roots. Not sure what& #39;s up with that three headed Mapleleaf. I can only assume it is the Cerberus of Canada
30/10, I want to pet the leaf puppy
I knew this was Quebec without even looking because it& #39;s got the fancy French things my phone can& #39;t spell, and also all of the blue and white makes it look cold. Which I assume is true about Quebec.
10/10, very on brand
At first I was like, isn& #39;t that just the flag of Scotland but with heraldry in the middle? And apparently this is Nova Scotia, which is Latin for Nova Scotland. So it makes sense, but I feel like they tricked me
8/10
Oh shit, New Brunswick has a lot going on and I love it. Slightly concerned about whether the flying lion is friendly or not but I like his blue toenails
20/10
Manitoba is basically Ontario but with a bison instead of Maple Cerberus.
5/10
The flag of British Columbia looks like a cutting error where two different flags meet and I’m kind of good with that
7/10
Hey it’s the lion from New Brunswick! He’s gone for a lighter blue nail polish for his visit to Prince Edward Island. Kind of disappointed I don& #39;t see any potatoes, because that& #39;s the only thing I know about PEI. But I& #39;m going to pretend those are potato trees
9/10
This looks like one of the more boring American flags I didn& #39;t like. But it seems to explain a lot about Alberta. It has mountains, the river from Frogger with all the alligators, and corn!
5/10
This is about the least Canadian flag I’ve seen so far. It looks like the flag of a tropical island, and now I& #39;m doubting everything I thought I knew about Saskatchewan
6/10
I don& #39;t think it& #39;s fair that Newfoundland and Labrador have to share a flag, especially one that seems to be step five in assembling a model airplane. And not a single big doofy doggo?
1/10
The Northwest Territories flag looks like something they would have on Game of Thrones. I have never actually seen Game of Thrones, so I might be wrong. But doggo!
10/10
The only thing I know about the Yukon is that’s where Yukon Cornelius is from in Rudolph. But he had dogs, and there is a dog on this flag, so I& #39;m satisfied
10/10, would pet
Nunavut has an inukshuk on its flag and I know what that is because in I think the Vancouver Olympics? They had one as a little symbol on the curling sheets and I like curling.
10/10
And that& #39;s it for the provinces and territories of Canada! Wikipedia also has flags of indigenous nations and Francophone peoples and such but I’m going to stop here for now.
