Cherry Bomb is one of Tyler the Creator's best albums. It was highly anticipated and loved by his fans. Although, this album and others such as "Goblin" got him major backlash. In this thread, I'm gonna try to break down the genius and versatility of this album.
Cherry Bomb produced ENTIRELY by Tyler himself. Which isn't surprising to me at all, Tyler is extremely talented and that usually shows in EVERY project. Cherry Bomb was released on April 13, 2015. It's officially been 6 WHOLE YEARS since the release of the album!
Cherry Bomb had a number of great features from amazing artists such as Kali Uchis, Schoolboy Q, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, and Pharrell Williams. Although Tyler is great by himself, these artists made everything even better than expected.
Now, you may be thinking...what is so special about this album? If you have to ask that question, i think you oughta listen to it again. To be clear, everything is special about this album. We've quite literal haven't seen that much vulnerability and versatility from Tyler.
The show stopping son of the album: DEATHCAMP.
I've never been into anything rock related. IT never appealed to me but, when I heard Tyler tap into it...I suddenly became intrigued. DEATHCAMP was wildly aggressive but the lyrics were...quite simple and straightforward. (1/2)

The production was amazing. I never though that Tyler cold actually pull of a beat like that. That isn't to be mistaken for underestimating his abilities. He definitely has all the talent and potential. I simply did not see that coming...AT ALL
.

Tyler's surprise factor is his most powerful ability and talent. He's a star. I believe there is intention behind everything he does. Though, you may not even understand what he's trying to accomplish at times. Which makes it all the more interesting.
The immense versatility in Cherry Bomb is seriously something to reckon with. From song to song, there is a different theme and tone. (well obviously. it's an album) It is clear that that the production and features were though out, and wow... they all worked in his favor.
MY PEROSNAL FAVORITE: F*CKING YOUNG/PERFECT.
This isn't just my favorite. Most of his fans really love this song. The beat was smooth and nostalgic. The lyric were well though out. The hook was extremely catchy, I learnt it on the 3rd listen.

Overall, Tyler made it extremely clear that he can do whatever he wants and can pull anything off with ease. Shoutout to all these artist that came together and showed chemistry to put together this amazing album.
Thank you for reading y'all. Much love - VINCE
