That’s where the ribbing began. Soto was not supposed to be the prospect that Acuna was. Robles was actually the guy for the Nats.
So all along I said “Soto > Acuna” as a joke more than anything and it made me want to collect Soto.
Then Soto came on and became a star /2

So I kept at it. It seemed like the more I said “Soto > Acuna” the more it became true... not that I had any impact of course. Just funny to watch it transpire.
So now here we sit. Acuna and Soto are the young faces of baseball.

Acuna set me back down this collecting path. I’ll never forget chasing bat downs and pulling Acuna US250s while also pulling Soto US300s.
Soto ascended to stardom as he helped the Nats win the World Series.
