daisuke: "are you worried about me?"
haru: "..."
haru: "are you wearing elevator shoes?

since yesterday was daiharu day, i wanna talk about my favourite daiharu scene that is really cute and adorable to me, because it gives a glimpse to haru's stance towards daisuke.

+
the scene where daisuke asked haru: "äżșたäș‹ă‚’æ°—ă«ă—ăŠă„ă‚‹ăźă‹?" ("are you concerned/worried about me?") and haru looked so conflicted he had to look away from daisuke and look down to think about his response colonizes my mind like no country's business. THEY WERE TOO PRECIOUS.
haru is usually so open when he's talking to daisuke. nearly zero filter, no fucks given. so excuse me for getting emotional because at this moment, haru has to re-consider his answer, and at the end, not even saying it at all, because daisuke asks him that question.
daisuke's question isn't even random, bro. it's not like daisuke went, "oh my 😏 are you worried about me? 😳" daisuke's question was normal and contextual. haru suggested them to rest for a bit, so daisuke asked him back, "why? is that because you're worried about me?"
being worried for someone else is a natural emotion experienced by humans, because we have ability to develop sympathy/empathy for others. it never necessarily means in romantic sense. and haru has been worried for daisuke several times before, it's not a new emotion to him.
therefore, how come answering daisuke's question is so difficult for haru that he had to change the topic to daisuke's elevator shoes on purpose? đŸ€• what is it about admitting he is worried about daisuke that hits uncomfortably close to home? i don't know, but it's so adorable.
(bro his face 😟 he looks like he's weighing hard options 😭)

i don't wanna bring "body language" into this, because everyone's physical response is varied. but usually, when someone looks away like this: they're guilty, trying to hide something, or assessing their feelings.
also, i wanna talk about this scene for a second. haru adding, "and you don't care about other people's feelings" to his list of complaint for daisuke. before that, he only ever complained about daisuke's disgusting money method. so we're now talking about feelings, comrade? đŸ˜„
and idk if it's noticeable, but daisuke in ep 6-7 is in similar situation as haru in ep 3. they're trying to do something, meanwhile everyone trying to disagree with them. only, haru in ep 3 had daisuke to help him, meanwhile daisuke in ep 6-7 didn't want haru to help him.
daisuke in episode 3 asked haru: "what do you want to do?"

and haru in episode 6-7 was trying to ask daisuke that exact same question. he kept wanting to know what daisuke was trying to do, because he trusted daisuke and wanted to help him, but daisuke was like, "no. leave. 😐"
it was frustrating, and maybe even hurting haru's feelings that daisuke didn't let him to help, although he thought they were Partners.

i don't ask you to agree with me, but i suppose haru's disappointment was what made him say, "you don't care about other people's feelings."
anyways, back to episode 10.

daisuke asking haru "are you worried about me?" was definitely surprising. haru does care about daisuke, that much is obvious, and i'm sure he knows that he cares about daisuke, too. but he thinks he can't say that to daisuke.
because... like.... how many times has daisuke make it seem like he's giving no fuck to, or even outright rejecting haru's concerns and attentions? đŸ€• like, it's just embarrassing to admit you care about someone who doesn't even seem to need it and even seem to dislike it.
i don't really have solid conclusion to this thread because i don't wanna force everything into romance, but i think haru actually understands his own feelings for daisuke better than some of us give him credits for. i think he just isn't certain to what level he can admit it.
also, this is another favourite scene of mine:

the way haru is so attentive asking daisuke if he was talking to him and waiting for daisuke to answer. meanwhile daisuke is like "😑😐"

daiharu will be canon đŸ€• just gotta wait for daisuke to act softer to haru 🙏
