yo if Ben survived the pit, he definitely broke a leg and also probably damaged a ton of nerves in his lower back

and he still crawled out for her. he still shifted her onto him so she wouldn’t be on the ground.

like it’s Ben thinking the pain from the bowcaster and the tightness of his healing face scar was the worst he can feel until he pops awake at the bottom of that pit and realizes /he had no idea how bad it could be/ but he still crawls out for her.
