As I share tech events in @DiversifyTechCo weekly, I see what the speaker lineups looks like regularly

I saw an increase in speakers of color last year. Since last month, I've been noticing that we are going back to having mostly white folks even in orgs that serve women in tech

This is a reminder to everyone that we didn't like solve diversity and inclusion issues in tech

Yes, people of color are tired but I am not sure that is the reason. I was getting invited to speak quite a lot last year. So far it's been once this year.

Not looking for speaking opps btw but this has been my observation and I suspect that's happening with other folks.

Oh. I include events that are organized by people of color. They always have a diverse lineup.

So, I don't think it's the case that every person of color decided to take a break.
