The current radfem movement is not taking its cues from the radfem movement of the 60s/70s. What I see these days is that girls come into radfem due to their own trauma at the hands of liberal misogynist culture, but they don't develop their analysis beyond that 1/X

So they will say porn is misogynist and prostitution is also misogynist but they won't connect porn or prostitution to the structure of capitalism or imperialism, how the latter 2 contribute to the existence of the former 2. This leaves the analysis incomplete. 2/X

When you have incomplete analysis you have an incomplete picture of what the problem of women's oppression is, and as a result you can't launch a successful struggle in the name of women's rights. So more reading must be done about capitalism & its role in female oppression 3/

The other problem I see within radfem circles these days is the lack of appreciation of the gains in women's rights socialist revolutions have brought across the world, and falling into the trap of believing propaganda about such revolutions and states. 4/X

And this is a problem bc rad feminism did not emerge from the right. It emerged from the radical left, and the capitalist ruling class's propaganda only serves to condition rad feminists into not seeing the victories of socialism for women. They want you hate socialism 5/X

They want all people, including radfems, in the imperial core to be hopelessly trapped and paralyzed within a system where any gains for women's rights are limited and easily dissolved under any crisis. They don't want radfems to do a fullscale revolution. 6/X
