When you're white, using illegal drugs at parties is a part of kids being kids (PARTICULARLY among the popular kids) and running from the cops is a sort of fun suburban right of passage. If you haven't lived it yourself, you've seen it in every coming of age movie.

Then, the majority of those kids grow up to argue that that kind of behavior is justification for summary execution by the police, but somehow always when the person executed is Black.

Those blue lives loving GOP politicians, particularly the younger ones like Gaetz or Boebert, I grew up with exactly that type of popular kid asshole, I was one! I’d bet a million bucks they’ve run through the woods from cops after a party’s broken up, laughing their asses off
