I have a J&J appointment in an hour, and if I don’t get a vaccine because 6 people out of 6 million got blood clots after I was allowed — nay, encouraged — to take hormonal birth control for DECADES, you will be hearing about a tiny little one woman riot.

UPDATE. So I got a cancellation email RIGHT as I arrived at my vaccine site, but went in anyway, and I’m now in the Moderna posse. The @_DCHealth staff at the @HowardU location have been amazing. Currently chilling in a lecture hall, waiting out my 15 minutes.

I really hope things work out as smoothly for those of you who’ve indicated you’re in the same boat, and that those of you who got J&J recently survive your 1 in a million risk of blood clots, which are apparently super dangerous when men might get them.

Thank you all for being very respectful to each other in discussing different types of blood clots & birth control, & how much caution is necessary vs. an overreaction.
