note : gua disini based on personal experience aja ya, and im talking about the domesticated betta splendens, not the wild type, paradise betta, or trichopsis vitata ( croaking gourami ).

so long story short, through a lot of selective breeding, betta splendens develops a wide variety of tails, (caudal fins). karena ribet dan terlalu males buat ngetik, gua bakal bikin dua kategori aja, the long-tailed and the plakat.

here's an example of both, on the left you can see Pineapple, my male halfmoon, he's definitely the long tailed one, i mean even an infant could tell it.
and on the right you can see Tolol, my male plakat betta, no further information on why i named him like that.
