I would bet my next (decent, ‘cause really) meal that advice and briefs requiring decisions will be sitting in Ministerial offices without being acted on. Senior public servants will be spending time chasing v small matters as ministers turn inwardly and anxiety outruns reason 2/

We won’t see strategic policy on anything. We won’t see great implementation of Covid vaccines (not a strength of the Cth anyway). New challenges won’t be anticipated or opportunities sought. So please. Don’t be surprised. Unless the surprise relates to how bad it can get. 3/
