a thread of why ikon has been trending in sk

i just realize why ikon has been trending in sokor left n right. I read a post on pann that says why ikon has a distinct color in kingdom is because majority of the participants have a huge stage direction, concepts and shit (which is amazing btw)

what intl fans don't realize is that for the korean general public, these theatric and conceptual themes are deemed to be "corny" for them. Idol grps have this image in korea as "corny" or in PH term, gp deems kpop groups as "jeje" not unless its BB, IU digimon idol groups.

this is the reason why ikon is gaining attention. Their Crown dom performances are not as dramatic, cheezy and very much conceptual as the other participants. iKON has been presenting their real colors which is talent, skills and experience. Yes, seems like basic but mind you++

++that these fundamentals are one of the strongest assets of ikon and most essential things as to why there are successful and professional idol groups.

koreans love this so much. Minimalism has been a lifestyle in Korea, they want it simple but direct. Walang komplikado.

++Remember Lai Guanlin's audition in PD101? what they actually did were the basic fundamentals of hiphop dancing and that wowed knetz and the dance teachers during pd101 s2, which are kahi and the other guy i forgot his name.

in conclusion, ikon is doing good and their reputation is slowly getting there.

+notice how the dom dance practice is still trending in naver rather than the perf from mnet? its bcoz knets/gp is slowly seeing ikons experience,talent and skills. & this is a great advantage. Gp does not only see them as "manufactured idol group" but MASTERS OF THEIR CRAFT
