-Dsmp! Phil dealing with grief-

- A short character analysis from someone that USED to despise c!Phil.

--A Thread--

As someone that hold grudges at C! Phil over what he did to New L'manburg during doomsday(I still am lmao) I'd admit that I missed some of his character depth, such as how he's dealing with grief over the death of his only son, Wilbur.
-Denial.
The way c!Phil handle denial, at first it was a bit unnoticeable but soon after it's become clear he is in denial, for example he used to said how he goes to snow biome/mountains the day after killed Wilbur to "meditate" And during his meditation, he realize+
How he's son(Wilbur) was an idiot and his death only bring more good than harm, which is his was to denial his own regrets toward c!Wilbur. Plus he quite literally reject ghostbur as the ghost spirit of his dead son, this show more depth to c! Phil about his +
Feelings toward the death of his own son.

-Anger
This stage was much more clearer than denial, because we have seen it several time, the most obvious one was during Doomsday, on how he was doing it "to finished Wilbur symphony" And "so that no more kind+
People would get corrupted by power" But by doing so, he failed to see the consequences of what he wrath bring. It's bring sorrow and collapse of a nation his son once build by hand, and the citizens lost home. He was filled with rage on that day, for multiple reason,+
And it's blinded him.

-Bargaining
Following that he convinced himself that anarchy is the only way. The only good way, thus destroying L'manburg the very thing his son died for. During doomdays, when Jack comforting Phil about it, Phil snapped saying how +
This country had taken his son away from him. Even during Ghostbur outburst to Phil, Phil was cold and emotionless with it, he doesn't care, because he convinced he is doing the right things for his son. During the whole doomsday event and after+
We could see Phil wished Wilbur still alive, the clearest part of bargaining from him is during the resurrection attempts. Phil had considered to died in order to bring Wilbur alive again. No matter how he will find a way to bring his son back again, even if it cost+
His life.

-Depression:
I think this one is more obvious than the other, c! Phil keep making himself busy ok techno house, hang around his friend even tho that said friend sleep for a long time. He hang his son face on the wall of his home+
He even mentioned how he still have the letters Wilbur wrote him. He is clearly lonely, hurted in a way, keep getting himself busy with other things on the server and with his chat(crows). Guy had a problem and refuse to seek for professional help(lol as if there any)
-Acceptance

For now there isn't a signs c! Phil in this part yet. He did accept the fact his son is dead, but he couldn't heal, he couldn't move on. As for now he still did try to do research on how to revive his son. This is not acceptance. +
He simply gotten a tad bit worse mentally after the 16th and progressly to do so during doomsday and so on.
From outside view it's clear, c! Phil is not the best dad around. But he tried, he is not a morally right guy, he flawed, so flawed.
But he is an interesting character, and that concludes my analysis. Tell me if I got any details wrong lol, this was like suppose to be tweets months ago but I got lazy LMAO hope you enjoy this, stay safe!
