Woke up choking on air early hours of this morning, turned on the tv to hear how ph 2 is starting for #CovidVaccine 40 to 49 yr olds are slowly "dripping through" as 2nd vaccines remain a priority. As an #asthmaticsatrisk in my 40s this is good news (thread) ...

I feel that now phase 2 has started the @GOVUK @PHE_uk @DHSCgovuk have succeeded in pushing clinically vulnerable citizens out of priority groups for the future of this virus. Now all that is left is to try to get a priority added to this non priority group .....

Ironically that is what @asthmauk has focused on the entire time.
I'm left feeling really let down by a misguided government, a charity who hasnt been totally transparent in this situation and the political party I was a member of who just wants to ignore the issue .....

The press have been muted, a rare few have delved under the surface of the issue. Asthmatics faced discrimination from employers who now think this chronic condition doesnt need extra care. And young asthmatics face further waits and anguish until they are called up .....

The inconsistency, the pressure on GPs, the entire system has been ridiculous.
If #flujabequalscovidjab so much of it all would of been avoided.
Under 50s will now be due a booster late winter or early spring so the vaccine works in us that long

Alas! Clearly it's not actually going through the NHS booking yet .... so I guess it's back to the GP discretion again ....
No matter - I've no plans for the rest of the year
