Here's my one Homestuck tweet for 4/13. I just remembered that Homestuck implies that clowns are a thing on Earth entirely because of the SGRUB session. It's a pretty big moment and then never brought up again because it's not very important, but that's pretty interesting.
Maybe I'm wrong about this actually. We read the comic once and then never reread it, and I don't plan to reread it, but it's something I was thinking about.
One could consider SBURB to be, in a sense, a creation tool. The goal is to create a new universe, and the players that create that universe imprint themselves onto that universe in some way. You have cultures that are echoed again and again as new universes are created.
You can never be sure what parts of culture are going to carry on into the next universe, it's entirely dependent on who plays the game and what their interests and backgrounds are. Entire facets of a world's history are gone in an instant if the right person isnt in the session.
This is one of the more interesting parts of SBURB, but it's something that's very difficult to explore without creating several new universes for the sake of exploring this concept. As interesting as SBURB is, I do prefer The Game from Vast Error overall.
The Game really works for Vast Error's themes and the way it functions is a lot different. I won't get too into it in case some people haven't read Vast Error yet and don't care to be spoiled, but the rest of this thread is something that could only be talked about with SBURB.
Alright I'm done talking about Homestuck, as far as I'm concerned tomorrow is Homestar Runner day.
