If their legs would cause them immense pain and anguish for the rest of their life and medical research has proven it'll improve their MH and provide good healthcare after, then yea

I mean, if your hip is fucking killing you with pain, a hip replacement seems sensible right? You don't sit around going "well I guess God wanted me to have chronic pain"

Like, there are plenty of routine surgeries/procedures that involve the removal of something because it's causing chronic pain or life threatening. No one ever heard of a tonsil removal? Knee implants? Fuck, even just a breast reduction for cis women to improve back pain?

And you know what, I am realising there are a fuck ton of people out there that will be like "you know, maybe if you just pray/exercise/eat organic, the bone shards in your knee will be cured. What do doctors even know?" and realising yet again, intersectionality is important.

Also, in case this wasn't already clear: we don't do surgeries on trans kids anyway. The most they ever get is entirely reversible puberty blockers.

You know what people should actually be caring about? Circumcision.
