Followed up on my $work roof project today... pictured is the "awesome" junction box I printed (because it was easier than getting an actual box) that houses a coupling leading to this UBNT PowerBeam
The third picture is from the perspective of the PowerStation, which is bridging campus wifi over to a nearby fire station. I relocated this side from that building immediately in front a couple years back when the former bridge got hacked.
So way off in the distance is another one of these things on the roof of a fire station, right? From there, it's a fun path to the final product: PowerStation -> Raspberry Pi -> Zigbee -> Zigbee -> Wind turbine controller
Anywho, there isn't really a direction to this thread. I think this setup's cool, and it's interesting how many moving pieces are involved in extracting data from this wind turbine far off in the distance.
