grrrr. thinkin abt. luna& #39;s wasted potential as a character in spirou 06. yes after like 8 months i am still thinking about this show. which fascinates me because it is one of the most mediocre things ive seen but its potential drives me (thread)
anyways about luna. my first introduction to the show was the one where she used this skincare product and she turned all giant and purple and i cant believe THAT was my first impression lmao like. totally spies much????
her and her beauty was used as a plot device in that purple inflation episode and it made her all angy which is the most interesting thing they did w her..o yea they also touched on seccotine and luna& #39;s relationship in that halloween episode when they were bickering but like
that was never touched on again??? i know that they were arguing abt something but i cant remember it bc it was just some throw away dialogue. like they put hints of interesting dynamics in this show but they never rly do anything with it. another example being the fact that the
writers know that fantasio and zantafio are lichrally RELATED but they dont do anything w it except for putting a line like "omg its zantafio the black sheep of the family" like we know bitch!!!! are u gonna make an arc abt that or what.....but thats another topic altogether
theres also episodes where theres literally no point in luna being there....like in that black hole episode she was just there to be saved by spirou and fantasio...i think she was also just there for spirou and fantasio to give attention to the plot or something
i will give her credit for knowing karate or whatever djfhjdhfbv like sometimes her fighting skills helped the main characters. but still i dont find anything interesting abt her.
this isnt just abt luna either. this is abt all the female characters. theyre all flat af!!!! actually the boys are too. fuck it all the characters in this show r one-sided but i think the female characters suffer the most bc theyre used as plot devices or
they just exist in relation to the male characters. u wanna know why i think this. the three girls in the show dont rly have a dynamic w each other?? the closest we have to a real dynamic is seccotine and luna bc they got a whole episode dedicated to them exploring this castle
which is great but wheres the flavor.. if u compare spirou and fantasios dynamic to their dynamic u would at least know that spirou is the brave one and fantasios the comic relief but i dont know what seccotine is to luna or vice versa. all i know is that
theyre friends w each other but if i had to take a stab based on the halloween episode luna would be the level-headed one and seccotine is the one that gets scared easily?? i feel like if they made that less vague it would have made them so much more entertaining
anyways yea uhh. the point is idk why u included luna in the first place if ur gonna take away eveything that made her interesting in the comics. let her hold a gun let her be child going crazy!!! also the characters are written like they were forced to be friends or somthing
