Simple observation that will make folks mad.

There should be one standard for combat military soldiers, and one standard for on-the-street police officers. There should be no exceptions. Physical strength, mental toughness, emotional control, all necessary.

So....
That would preclude probably 40% of male applicants, and 98.5% of female applicants (yes, the gender binary is real).

The vast majority of women were not made to fight with men in combat.

The incident in Minneapolis simply documents this. First, the female officer...
attempted to hold the suspect's arm. He pulled away from her without the slightest difficulty, breaking her grip instantly.

Then she pulled her sidearm, a Glock, probably a 9mm. But she thought it was her taser. She said she was going to tase him, and warned the others.
And then pulled the trigger, and shot the suspect in the abdomen, not straight on (survivable), but cross-wise (almost never survivable).

She was plainly shocked that it happened, clearly did not intend for it to happen.

She was improperly trained, and probably not cut out...
for such situations to begin with. The suspect was not only resisting but getting into the car which leads to questions about guns in the car, high speed chases, you name it. He brought about his own death, no question about it, but it was still a "bad shoot."
But the fact is, the Bible knows nothing of "equality in military roles" or policing. Outside of the mythical Amazons, and dumb Hollywood movies, real cultures have protected and honored women, they have not sent them into combat. It was a mistake to go down this road years...
ago, both militarily and in the police forces. Non-combat jobs? OK, if need be. But there should be ONE standard, never two, not one for men, another for women.

I don't care that I'm from an older generation. Common sense is still a good thing.
