Since 2007, RWDSU has won 62% of about 129 elections. However, when you narrow it down to elections with over 100 workers, their win rate goes down to 17%
This compares to an overall union win rate of 52% for elections with over 100 workers for the same period.
So RWDSU wins an abnormally small percentage of larger elections, compared to the broader movement. Note: this doesn't account for sectoral differences; RWDSU organizes primarily in a much less densely organized sector of the economy vs. something like healthcare.
Slight revision: RWDSU has run 37 elections with over 100 workers and have won 8, for a 22.85% win rate. They're ranked in the bottom ten for win rates of unions running elections of over 100 workers (total of 67 unions in that bucket).
A handful of unions -- most of which have run relatively few NLRB elections with over 100 workers -- have a 100% win rate. Among those: @GoIUPAT, SAG-AFTRA, @newsguild, and @WGAEast.
The best win rate overall, when you consider number of elections (74) and wins: @NationalNurses, with 93.24% win rate.
AFT has won 88%, NUHW has won 85%, AFT/NEA dual campaigns have won 83%, TWU has won 83%, UNITE HERE has won 79%, SEIU has won 77% (and run by far the most elections) -- the majority of unions are running over 50%
Some of these unions are relatively small; @ueunion is a very small union and has a 70% win rate. Of the big unions in this list, the weakest win rates: UAW (49%), NEA (44%), IAM (44%), SMART (42%), Carpenters (40%), and the Laborers (36%).
Note: UFCW, which is RWDSU's parent union, runs a LOT of campaigns, but with low win numbers. They're #3 in total elections, but only 36% win rate compared to 56% for Teamsters (#2) and 77% for SEIU (#1).
