basic twitch etiquette you guys NEED to understand, these are things that are respected across the entire of twitch and not just as a guide for how to act in kras' twitch chat. (thread !)

(A LOT OF THIS IS GENUINELY COMMON SENSE, JUST DO NOT BE A DICK IN CHAT !)

— STREAMERS ARE NOT THERE TO GIVE YOU THERAPY !
please understand that some streamers are able to be a safe space for people and they do not need a reminder of bad things during their down time.

— DO NOT BE WEIRD IN CHAT !
this is more aimed towards people who comment on things like a streamer's body or sexualising them in chat. please do not do this! it's uncomfortable for the entire chat and streamer.

— DO NOT FAKE A RAID !
this is so annoying and spams chat when it is not needed and also is just rude to do to streamers.

— DO NOT ENCOURAGE SPAM !
this goes for ANY form of spam and is extremely hard for mods to keep it under control.

— RESPECT THE STREAMERS BOUNDARIES !
if you know the streamer has ANY boundaries, please follow them. do not be making the streamer uncomfortable.

— LISTEN TO AND RESPECT MODS !
this one is pretty obvious, twitch modding is NOT a paid job and a lot of twitch mods volunteer for this stuff so please respect whatever they have to say and don't make it harder for them.

— YOU DO NOT PERSONALLY KNOW STREAMERS !
unless you actually know a streamer, please understand they are just normal people and have needs that you need to respect. you know about them what is shown. ALSO do not assume a streamers limits, they know themselves.

— DO NOT BACKSEAT GAME !
this goes for spoiling games and telling them what to do UNLESS they ask for help. this is annoying to see in chat and is lowkey frowned upon.

— DO NOT GUILT TRIP THE STREAMER !
if a streamer misses your chat/dono, do not make them feel bad about it :/ it makes it uncomfortable for chat and for the streamer.
