A man named Edward emailed me about a $4.5 MM settlement that I was eligible for. All I had to do was send him a $150 fee.

For some unknown reason, I ignored this important notice for two weeks before asking him if it was too late to redeem. . .
He wrote me back letting me know he received my email and that the contents were well understood. I still had a 100% chance to receive compensation funds, he said. I only needed to stop delaying and send him the $150 fee. . .
I asked if I sent him a larger fee, could he send me more than $4.5MM and thanked him kindly for his instruction.

He replied, that no, in fact, he couldn't get me more than $4.5MM (bummer!), and that he was awaiting confirmation of this fee immediately!
Five days later he send me a follow up message:

"What's going on why I did not heard from you?"
I apologized and explained that I had been in a coma.

Edward did not like this:

"Does it means that you are no more interested of making the claim of your outstanding fund US $4.5 million of yours which i have been working so hard to make sure it get to you?"
He continued:

"till this moment you have decided to remain silent after I have personally took an Oath for you to secure this fund. With all due respect, if you really know that you are no more interested of making this claim of your outstanding fund of yours kindly update me."
And continued:

"I cancel this transaction since your negative thought does not allow you to believe on the reality so send me a declaration letter stated that you are no more interested of making the claim so that I will cancel the transaction"
And continued:

"You are advice to send the US$105usd by western union or MONEY GRAM as directed below "
This is where I pounced. I am money savvy, after all:

"Mr. Edward,

It seems there is a sale for the fee? You mentioned a transaction fee of $105 rather than $150.

If I wait longer, can I get an even better deal to get my $4.5 million?" I asked.
I then apologized that my coma had caused so much drama:

"My coma made me forget this discussion, so I had to go back to remember what you sent me.

I forgot why I am the beneficiary of such a large sum of money. I'm sorry you are angry with me."
I then asked for help with my unique geographical constraints:

"Can you please help me find location for Western Union in Yemen?"
He sent this:

"HERE IS THE WESTERN UNION LOCATION IN YEMEN
SHAMIL BANK OF YEMEN & BAHRAIN
Hodaidah Branch
26 September St
Hodaidah, Yemen"
I slipped into another coma as far as Edward knows as his attempts to trade his $4.5MM for my $150 continued for another month after that.

Too bad I missed out. However, as the great Warren Buffet told us:

There's no called strikes in business. Maybe next time. . .
