One of my best friends and I really enjoy watching classic comedies together, and this is our go-to favorite song from the Marx Bros. library.

This one tends to make me simultaneously a bit melancholic and... I dunno, hopeful? There's something about it, for as sad as it is, that leaves a sense of maybe things will turn out alright someday after all even if it feels unlikely. It's weird.

Dire Straits is one of my dad's favorite bands, and while I haven't listened to enough of their stuff, I will always love this track.

Speaking of my dad, another fave of his - Creedence Clearwater Revival. A few years ago he picked me up from somewhere, and we ended up going for a drive, getting icecream and listening to CCR the whole way. I was in my mid twenties. That was a great day.
