This is why people say ACAB, because the institution is fundamentally rotten. Many police actions are simply not worth engaging in to begin with, and all of them come with the threat of violence and death.

Any infraction, ANY, can escalate to your death when you're dealing with an armed force that is given the power to assault or murder you without consequence. We saw this with George Floyd when the use of a fake $20 resulted in a man's death.
