I recognize that being a commie is difficult, partly because you have to unlearn so much US propaganda (even if you aren't from the US, because that shit has a global reach), and educate yourself about real history, economics, & politics, which takes a while, so let me summarize:
(1) Everything you think you know about capitalism is wrong. Reading Marx, Lenin, Mao, and Stalin is helpful here, but a good starting point is that capitalism is 'soaked in blood and dirt' as Marx put it
(2) Everything you think you know about socialism is wrong. If you want the real history, that will take time to accumulate, but a good place to start is simply that all the outrageous claims made about the 'evils' of socialism are simply smears
(3) What you have been taught about the glorious liberal bourgeois democracies (i.e. how a bill becomes a law, legal equality, etc) is at best unbelievably naive. How much does legal equality under the law matter when the outcomes are so different?
While I believe in liberal bromides about 'freedom', 'equality', and 'democracy', the reality is that these have not the slightest chance of being anything more than platitudes under capitalism, which is a machine for generating inequality
Capitalism will never result in democracy in anything but appearance. You never get to vote on whether your country gives massive handouts to corporations, or goes to war
Learning Marxist theory is helpful, but keep in mind the big picture is a lot simpler than its been made out to be: capitalism works for the rich, and it will never work for the average person. Capitalism works for the rich nations, it will never work for the developing nation
More detailed theory will help you defend your case out in the world, so it's very much worth learning, but these basics may be enough so that you feel a bit more confident in your direction
